Welcome you! This is my first Blog ever and for an introverted person quite a tricky thing to begin. However, the JewelBox™ Tarot books and decks are now published and, in the shops. Apparently, I now need to share my life with the world in order to ramp up sales. Hopefully you’ll all find it entertaining and maybe even learn about the Tarot along the way. You can follow my Blog at https://www.jewelboxart.com/blog-jewelbox/
To start off I should explain my two passions in life. Art and Tarot. I love the peace found in drawing and the fun in creating. The Tarot is so very intriguing! I’m self-taught in both and the learning processes have taken most of my life.
JewelBox officially began in 2010. I’d just been made redundant from my job and was thrilled about it! Other than the issue of money, I really didn’t want to go out to work anymore. So, I decided to finally start my Art business and JewelBox Art was born. For the first year I just painted and participated in some Art Exhibitions which was very fun. Unfortunately, I didn’t actually sell any art. It seems that I have attachment issues to my paintings, which is not good for sales…So, the whole money thing raised its ugly head again and I had to earn some. I chose to do this by reading cards on www.psychic.com.au under the name Gem for 3 years. Controversial thing to do, I guess.
During this time, I decided to add to my knowledge and began reading all the old classic Tarot texts. In 2011 I started writing the JewelBox™ Tarot series. It began as a way to sort out the good from the bad and set some order to my notes. In the middle of it all I took a year off writing and painted the JewelBox™ Tarot deck. The whole process has taken 8 years. Pretty epic!
I still love to paint and have finally worked out how to make sales without having to part with my works. I now sell Art Prints and all kinds of wonderful merchandise on Redbubble. Check out my shop! JewelBoxArt.Redbubble.com
