It’s really important to keep a Tarot Journal! The act of writing things down cements your impressions in your mind. It’s also a really good way to keep track of what the Cards have already told you about particular situations and provide interesting reading in the future. I find the act of journaling helps me to work through tricky situations and helps me with choice making. Whenever I really don’t know what to do about something, I record my Tarot reading and make copious notes. Then over the next few days I re-read what I’ve written and formulate my decisions. So, what to include in a Tarot Journal?
Always note the date and where you are.
Write down your question and how you are feeling about the situation in question.
Imagine your question while you shuffle your cards and then spread them out. Take your time…
Select your Card or Cards if you are going to do a 3 Card Spread. (Keep it simple when you’re learning)
Note all your immediate impressions about the Card(s) selected.
Read the card’s interpretation from JewelBox Tarot™- The Story of Flow. This book contains relevant interpretations for different areas of life i.e. health, love, work etc. It’s up to you whether you read the entire interpretation or just the relevant life area…
Write down what resonates from the interpretation.
Read over what you have recorded and sit with it for a minute.
Then write your conclusion.
